Karachi, May 13: KMC Administrator Laeeq Ahmed said Quaidabad to Tower CNG Bus Service providing considerable relief to passengers on this long track therefore it should be made more better and effective. He said this while chairing a meeting on the Quaidabad to Tower CNG Bus Service with the offices of Transport & Communication Department and the contractor of the bus service. Senior Director T&C Muhammad Ather, S.M. Taha, contractor and other officers attended the meeting. Administrator Karachi said though transportation was no more a primary responsibility of KMC; however that would be troublesome for citizens if this bus service ceases to operate in the city. We, in fact, serve the citizens with only 20 rupees fare in which they can travel from Quaidabad to Tower. No other public transport provides such a facility to passenger on this route. The contractor of bus service said presently 36 buses were operating on this long route and the passengers were mostly poor or middle class people. Administrator Laeeq Ahmed said these environment friendly buses are providing travel facility to around 30 percent of the city population on a 30km route and it should be made even better in future.
